Professor Allison Butler, PhD., Leaturer & Chief Undergraduate Advisor and Director of the Media Literacy Certificate Program in the Department of Communication at university of Massachusetts, Amherst will present a talk on media literacy. Media literacy builds an understanding of the role of media in society as well as essential skills of inquiry and self-expression necessary for citizens of a democracy.
